TO APPLY THE "UNSHARP MASK" FILTER
-
Filter Menu/ Sharpen/ Unsharp Mask
-
AMOUNT - Use low setting .. 50 for people or natural objects, higher if the image contains sharp edged objects (the larger the image the less sharpening may be required) For a high resolution image use an amount between 250% to 200%
-
RADIUS - Cosider the final size, the resolution, and the subject matter. Suggest using 1.0 a higher value could produce too much contrast in areas that have a high contrast.
-
THRESHOLD - At 0, filter will be applied to the whole image, to prevent noise from distorting skin tones use 8.
TIP: Amount Radius Threshold
For portraits 80 1.0 8
For Flowers 190 1.5 0
For Landscapes 150 1.0 4
